Currently, there are two main E-ward™ categories, which are: Custom Wooden Plaques and Printed Awards.
E-ward™ plaques are handcrafted and customized for each event or person. Even the wood used for each
plaque is hand picked and inspected for grain consistency and over-all appearance by a master craftsman.
WHY? - It's simple. - To a master craftsman - IT'S PERSONAL. And, it's personal with an "ENDURO - E".
We want to introduce the Master Craftsman behind the unique E-ward™ plaques. His name is G.C. McWatters
(more commonly referred to as "Mr. Mac", or "Granddad". Mr. Mac celebrated his 92ND birthday in 2011. He
can be found in his shop working on the next E-wards™ project most days of the week (but not on Sundays).
For 92+ years, Sundays (in the McWatters family) have been reserved for church and family time.
YES- - - Mr. Mac is "retired". He is retired from the U.S. Military and teaching in college for 25 years. Then,
he retired as the Director of Maintenance at a large public school system. - - - But, he has not retired as a
Master Craftsman. As a Master Craftsman, he is dedicated to serving each person, young and old, who
earns an E-ward™ from the ENDURO Group. He respects the work it takes to earn every E-ward™ plaque.
The word "enduro" in "the ENDURO - E" (by definition) means - - - "a long race". There is an ENDURO-"E"
in every plaque created by Mr. Mac. At the age of 92, Mr. Mac has completed many "long races". He fought
in multiple wars. He has enjoyed a long marriage. He provided college educations for all three sons. He has
remained in good health despite a battle with diabetes for over 50 years. He remains an active member of his
church. Yes, Mr. Mac knows how to run and finish his personal "long races". - - - "All it takes is work." GC
We hope everyone joins Mr. Mac and makes "the ENDURO-E" part of their own success story.
It's your "ENDURO" (long race).
But, others can "run" beside you.
